This one-bedroom home lies on one of Alfama’s narrow, cobbled pedestrian streets that wind up and down the hill, surrounded by history, music, and everyday Portuguese life. Here, neighbours greet each other from window to window, children play on the street, and at dusk, the soft sound of Fado drifts through the air from nearby taverns. Sometimes, from the apartment’s window, you can even hear the singers’ voices and the applause of their audience, a truly authentic Alfama moment.

The house is typically narrow and cozy, but thoughtfully designed for a comfortable stay. It features a spacious bedroom, a living room with an integrated kitchen, and a renovated bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for short or long stays and includes a starter kit with essentials such as salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, and spices. You’ll also find bath amenities: shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, and a hairdryer, plus fresh linens and towels.

High-speed fiber Wi-Fi keeps you connected, and the apartment is equipped with heating and all the basics for a comfortable stay.

The street is so narrow and peaceful that you’ll feel part of the neighbourhood, a place where daily life unfolds at a slow rhythm, with laughter, music, and conversation. This is Alfama as it truly is: traditional, lively, and full of character.

Please note: access by car is difficult and not recommended for guests with vehicles. The best way to explore Alfama is on foot — through its alleys, viewpoints, and charming corners that reveal the soul of Lisbon.

LONG-TERM RESERVATIONS
Reservations of 15 nights or more are considered long-term reservations and are subject to the following rules:
-> A safety deposit may be requested at check-in and will be refunded after the apartment is checked and all outstanding bills are settled.
-> Electricity and water are charged separately based on actual monthly usage, unless guests choose to pay a fixed fee of €3 per night to cover these costs.
-> By booking a long-term stay, guests agree to provide the host with access to the property when requested, for maintenance assessments.

CHECK-IN
Self Check-In: Available free of charge with our self-check-in system.
In-Person Check-In: Available upon request and subject to an additional fee if done after-hours:
– After 8:00 PM: €15
– After 10:00 PM: €25
– After 1:00 AM: €50

Mandatory Check-In Form: All guests must complete a check-in form before arrival. This is required to comply with Portuguese law, which mandates that short-term rental hosts report guest information to the Borders Service (AIMA).
